Last revised 19 February 2026. These apply to every quotation and every report unless a signed agreement says otherwise.
We test the specimen delivered to us, described in the report as we found it — including dimensions, mass and construction as measured on arrival rather than as stated on the delivery note. Where the two disagree, the report records both.
Specimens are held four weeks after report issue. Transmission specimens are usually destroyed during removal from the aperture; this is unavoidable and is assumed unless you tell us otherwise in advance. Uncollected specimens after four weeks are disposed of and disposal is chargeable for anything requiring special handling.
Reports are issued as complete PDF documents. They may be reproduced only in full. Reproducing an extract, a single figure or a graph without the accompanying conditions is a misuse of the report, and we ask clients to take that seriously — a number lifted out of its mounting condition is not the same claim.
A report containing a factual error on our part is revised at no charge and the superseded version withdrawn. A report re-issued because the client wishes to change the specimen description, the declared mounting or the client name is chargeable, and the revision history stays in the document.
A result that does not meet your target is still the result and will be reported. You are free not to publish it — the report is your confidential property. You are not free to ask us to alter it, and requesting that ends the working relationship.
You may commission a second test on a new specimen at any time, at full price. Both reports exist independently; we will not withdraw the first because the second is better.
Work outside our accredited scope is reported without the accreditation mark and identified as such. We will not imply coverage we do not hold, including in quotations.
Chamber slots cancelled more than ten working days ahead are free of charge. Inside ten days, fifty percent of chamber time is charged, because the slot cannot realistically be resold. Specimen building already carried out is charged in full.
Our liability for any test is limited to the fee for that test. We are not liable for consequential losses arising from decisions taken on the basis of a report — the report states what was measured, under conditions it describes, on the specimen supplied.
These terms are governed by Dutch law, with the courts of Den Haag having jurisdiction.
